The Farm, Carnegie Foundation, Park Place South
California
We apply principles of sustainable design to all projects. They are manifested in a variety of ways as demonstrated in these three projects. For example, The Farm affordable housing restored and preserved a riparian corridor onsite for existing plant and animal life along Soquel Creek. The project also incorporated a storm water retention system to recharge the local water table rather than discharging runoff.

The Carnegie Foundation at Stanford preserves and restores an existing oak woodland habitat. The building incorporates daylighting and natural ventilation to reduce energy consumption. Roads and parking utilize pervious paving, and the project is served by a shuttle which reduced parking requirements significantly.

Park Place South in downtown Mountain View California locates housing, shopping and office space in a vibrant mixed use pedestrian oriented district enabling residents to greatly reduce their reliance on their automobiles. The planning of the residential portion of the building utilizes open air courtyards for circulation to the apartments rather than corridors and elevators greatly reducing energy consumption while offering an increased sense of light, air, and privacy.
