Loyola Village
San Francisco, California
Loyola Village provides housing for students and faculty at the University of San Francisco. The building terraces down a steeply sloping site and thereby develops expansive views of the city. A central pedestrian promenade creates a new urban connection between the university and the neighborhood to the north. The subterranean garage on which the apartments stand retains and stabilizes the slope. The project accommodates a variety of living arrangements in flats and townhouses ranging from studios to three bedrooms.
